	About Us We are very happily married, live in a beautiful home in a safe community, and we are blessed with supportive family and friends. Both of us are highly educated professionals who love our work, put our family first, and know the importance of enjoying life. We met in early February, 2005 and have been smitten with each other ever since! By the time we met, we were both very clear about the kind of partner we were seeking. We believe that when you choose the right partner, relationships are fun and easy, and we’ve been delighted by how joyful and effortless it is to be together. Within a month of meeting, we flew to Costa Rica where Steve helped Wendy lead a weeklong retreat called “Heart of the Rainforest: Heart of the Soul” which involved nature excursions, personal transformation and yoga at a spectacular, private wildlife refuge. Wendy was impressed with how incredibly supportive Steve was, and we’ve been supporting each other in every possible way ever since. Our compatibility is apparent in everything about us; for instance, when we got engaged and moved in together, even our belongings matched almost perfectly. Wendy had a dining room table and Steve didn’t. Steve had great living room furniture and Wendy didn’t. We had almost no duplicate kitchen stuff and we each had one perfectly matching bedside table! Our wedding was a beautiful gathering in October, 2005, at the Falkirk Mansion in San Rafael. We were practicing our first dance there that morning in casual clothes, and one of the people who worked there said, “You two look so happy together – you should get married here!” Married life has been fabulous - exploring the world around us and within us… and spending time together every day sharing meals, conversations, love and laundry. In August, 2008, we bought our home in Novato, California in Marin County. We love our beautiful house, garden, neighborhood, community, and surrounding nature and feel very blessed to live in this amazing place and have this incredible relationship. Our relationship is very easy, supportive and joyful. We both love nature, adventure, travel, music, learning and each other. We are eager to share all this and more with our child. We also like our traditions. On Sunday mornings, we delight in cooking and eating a delicious breakfast with eggs, lots of vegetables and cheese, sometimes fruit, bacon, potatoes or pancakes. Each year, we take a few days off for Wendy’s birthday in August to go backpacking in the wilderness, and we regularly take time to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. We go to the Mountain Play outdoor theatre production with Wendy’s Dad every year, and sometimes enjoy other outings at the theatre. We just saw the premiere of Peter Pan in San Francisco, loved the Broadway production of Mary Poppins in New York, and we can’t wait to bring our child along in the future. We have been described as “energizer bunnies”. Steve plays basketball at lunch, Wendy practices yoga and Pilates, and we both love to hike, bike, ski, dance, and do water sports together. On a recent vacation to a resort in Mexico, while most other couples sat around the pool all day, we were having our kind of fun: walking on the beach, playing Smash Ball, sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, dancing, and some relaxing and reading, too. Wherever we travel, we always spend time at local sites and experience some of the local culture. We especially like snorkeling on coral reefs and exploring ancient ruins, and even close to home we regularly enjoy “’venturing” and “’sploring”. Together, we have created a great life, and we look forward to sharing it with our child!
